Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How long are preceptorship rotations at AllGrace?
Rotations vary based on your school’s requirements and your program level. Most students complete between 40 to 120 hours over the course of 2–6 weeks. We’ll coordinate with your academic program to meet their clinical guidelines.
What kind of tasks will I be doing during my preceptorship?
As a student preceptee, you’ll be involved in a variety of real-world caregiving responsibilities, including:
Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Taking vital signs and reporting to your preceptor
Observing medication administration
Supporting care plans for individual clients
Documenting care activities under supervision
Your level of involvement will match your certification stage and school policies.
Will I be working with real clients?
Yes. All Grace Healthcare provides home-based care to real clients, and preceptor students are supervised while engaging in meaningful, hands-on support. This includes working in real home environments, interacting with families, and seeing firsthand how compassionate care is delivered.
Is the preceptorship paid?
No. Our preceptorships are considered part of your academic training. They are unpaid clinical experiences designed to help you fulfill your school’s graduation or licensure requirements. However, many students receive job offers after successful completion.
Will I receive a certificate or evaluation?
Yes. At the end of your rotation, your preceptor will complete any required evaluation forms for your school. If needed, we can also provide a letter confirming your hours and participation.
Do I need to be enrolled in a specific school to apply?
We partner with various accredited colleges, universities, and training institutes. If your school is not currently partnered with us, we’re happy to explore creating a formal agreement. Please have your program coordinator reach out to us directly.
